Creating humanoid robots with practical, real-world applications to augment the global labor force.

Founded: 2014

HQ: Moss, Norway

1X’s humanoid robots are poised to revolutionize the labor market by providing an alternative to human workers in dangerous or stressful working conditions. As the demographic shift continues and countries worldwide look for solutions to a shrinking labor force, 1X’s robots could also play a key role in addressing labor shortages within healthcare, nursing and other key functions.

1X’s superior motor and mechanical design has enabled them to be the first company globally to provide commercially available android robots for industrial applications. Several of 1X’s first generation robots are already deployed at customer sites in the US.

With the most recent investment, the company will focus on building its upcoming bipedal android model NEO, as well as scaling its manufacturing capabilities for its first commercially available android EVE in Norway and North America.
