Sandwater invests thematically in early stage companies to fund and assist their teams in scaling solutions with a global potential. The companies we work with address some of the most important issues within resource efficiency, energy transition, health and well-being, and other impact enabling technologies. By adding capital, competence, conviction and connections, we work collaboratively with the founders, teams and co-investors to create the right foundation and speed to succeed. We aim to be an active partner in the venture journey to grow and prepare for later stage opportunities. We are also firm believers in identifying business models where true positive impact is created in lockstep with strong financial returns.

Sandwater just raised a NOK 1,4 bn (€125m) venture fund with focus on Nordic and Northern European companies developing through the late seed to series A+ stages. We have 13 companies in our current fund portfolio across 5 countries and aim to make an additional 5-10 new investments out of this fund. We’re a team of 8 people located in Oslo and we work tightly as a team to source, qualify, invest and assist the companies as they develop. We’re now expanding our investment team and are looking for individuals who can contribute to our investment processes and existing portfolio work and help us build Sandwater’s ecosystem and presence in an ever more thriving Nordic and European venture market.

Previous experiences that could contribute to what we do:

  • Start-up/scale-up journey (successful or not)
  • Consulting, venture/private equity investing, finance/M&A
  • Business development, operational scaling, sales experience
  • Specific domain knowledge relevant to our investment thematics within energy, resource efficiency/materials, health and human wellbeing, software etc.
  • Other exciting backgrounds that could expand our diversity of perspectives and contribute to making successful investments

We are looking for 2 candidates, and we will consider anything from 2 to 10 years of relevant experience.
